Well, this is obviously the big news that everyone was expecting. The new World of Warcraft expansion has been announced, and with it everything is looking for every last scrap of details they can possibly find out. Here’s the official site, and below is the trailer.

A few of the features said to be in Wrath of the Lich King include:

• Another grind to level 80 (…great, just what I wanted)
• Northend opens up!
• Blizzard finally realizes that horde didn’t want paladins, alliance could give a shit less about shaman – everyone just wants Death Knights.
• Speaking of Death Knights, that means that they’re adding in Hero classes – we’ve only been waiting how many years…
• Epic siege warfare sounds interesting, although given how badly they flubbed the pvp system to begin with, I’m a bit concerned at whether the Alliance can turn this into a purely pve experience like Alterac Valley…
• New dungeons that 99% of World of Warcraft players won’t see – I love new raids!

So I sound a bit negative. Eh. It’s not nice getting the news that all of the gear you’ve been grinding for is going to be completely useless. Tis the nature of the beast, though.
